Planting the right seeds!

My husband and I have been gardening for well over 15 years. Mind you, some of those years we took a break. I remember when we used to have 21 raised-bed gardens! Whew! We took a break after a couple of years of managing that many beds. We both still work full-time and finding the time to garden is sometimes a challenge.

Planting non-GMO and organic seeds has always been important to us. If you are going to invest in the soil, beds and other gardening supplies, not to mention your time, it is best to use the right seeds. We have been buying from High Mowing Organic Seeds for years now and love the company.

We live in Taylors, South Carolina which is in Hardiness Zones 7b and 8a. If you are new to gardening, it is important to know what Hardiness Zone you live in to improve your gardening success. Here is a link to the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map. Just type in your city and state and it will bring up the color of your zone. Match it with their chart and voilà, you've got your Hardiness Zone!
